Kelsey staff laid off

KELSEY Roofing is being wound up by administrators after attempts to find a buyer for the stricken firm foundered.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has made almost all of the firm's 53 staff redundant, with just a handful of people kept on to help close down the business.

Kelsey, based in Redditch, Worcestershire, has worked on a raft of high-profile jobs including the Cardiff Millennium Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall.

But cashflow problems and tight margins forced managing director Bob Hann to appoint PwC last month.
