Kier to build Milton Keynes academy

Milton Keynes Council has announced that Kier Construction is the preferred contractor to build the city’s new academy.

The academy, which is the first project to reach this stage since Partnerships for Schools launched its Design and Build national framework in January, will replace the existing Sir Frank Markham Community School.

Construction will begin in March 2008 and the school is set to open in September 2009.
