PLANT BUSINESS

The Korean owner of the Daewoo brand Doosan Infracore is to build a new factory in Korea to produce 21,300 excavators and 20,000 forklifts a year from 2009. The factory in Gunsan, costing £170 million, will bring Doosan's annual output to 50,000 machines. The firm is also expanding its Belgian factory, according to local reports.
