Kubota fined

NEWS IN BRIEF

Kubota UK has been fined £175,000 at Oxford Crown Court for a series of health and safety breaches. The machinery firm was fined following two accidents after landscape workers had their hands cut off by grass collecting machines. Kubota was also fined for supplying 88 unsafe grass collectors nationwide after the HSE found that the machines were not safe and did not comply with the European Machinery Directive.
