Kuwait issues construction tenders for mosques

Kuwait's Awqaf & Islamic Affairs Ministry has issued a raft of tenders for construction work on a number of mosques across the country.

The ministry has prequalified local contractors for the work, which will take place in the governorates' of Hawally, Ahmadi, Capital, Farwaniya, Mubarak al-Kabeer and Jahra.

The contractors include United Gulf Construction Company (UGCC), Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons General Trading & Contracting Company, Mushrif Trading & Contracting Company, United Construction Company and Alghanim Combined General Trading & Contracting Company.

Pre-tender meetings will take place between 14 December and 24 December, with bid deadlines ranging from 18 to 20 January 2009.
