Laing gone


Laing O'Rourke has pulled out of bidding for Bristol's £500 million Broadmeed shopping centre, leaving Bovis Lend Lease and Sir Rober t McA lpine to scrap it out for the work. Laing O'Rourke has decided to concentrate on the £240 million St David's 2 shopping cent re in Cardiff instead. Bovis and McAlpine are also pitching for the latter scheme. Both projects are being handled by developer Land Securities.
