Lancashire firms sign to better skills

Around 50 construction firms in Lancashire have signed up to the Government's ConstructionSkills programme in a bid to improve their workers’ basic skills.

In total, more than 250 companies across the north west have agreed to take part.

The pledge will help employers develop the skills of their workforce, including literacy and numeracy, to work towards qualifications to at least GCSE standard.
