Leeds bonanza

Gladedale subsidiary Reland has submitted plans to convert two derelict chemical factories in Leeds into mixed-use developments totalling £500 million. The plans include 2,000 homes.

Work will take 10 years and could start in summer 2007, subject to the city council's planning approval.
