Lend Lease submits £50m shop plans

Developer Lend Lease has submitted a planning application for a £50 million extension of the Overgate shopping centre in Scotland to Dundee City Council this week.
Plans include extending the existing 39,000 sq m development by a further 22,500 sq m. The new section will hold up to 40 units across two levels. The 1.46 ha site is currently occupied by a multi-storey car park, supermarket, office space and a number of derelict properties.

Lend Lease developed and opened the existing Overgate development in March 2000. Architectural practice Building Design Partnership designed the latest scheme.
