Library job booking in

CONTRACTS - WILTSHIRE

TENDERS to build a £10 million library in Swindon will go out by the middle of next month.

Residents of the Wiltshire town have had to make do with Portakabins at the site behind the town hall, which has a grade II listing.

Planners at Swindon Borough Council have said the new building must blend in with its 19th century neighbour.

Norwest Holst, Willmott Dixon and Cowlin are among the firms hoping to pick up documents. The council wants the library to open by 2008.
