Lift tragedy

A 47-year-old man was killed when he plummeted eight floors with the temporary lift car he was working from during a lift refurbishment job in an office High Holborn, London, last Wednesday.

The temporary support detached from support hooks. The Health and Safety Executive is investigating with the local authority. Mechanical and electrical inspectors attended the scene.
