Lighthouse Club challenges rest-of-the-world cricket side

THE LIGHTHOUSE Club is organising a charity cricket match later this month against an all-star team including former West Indies test stars Richie Richardson (right) and Jimmy Adams and New Zealand's Chris Cairns.

The Lighthouse Club team will take on the famous Lashings Cricket Club, which has made a habit of recruiting exinternational players to its village side.

Other cricketers playing for the Lashings Club this year include West Indies legend Sir Viv Richards, Herschelle Gibbs of South Africa, Greg Blewett of Australia, and England spin bowler Phil Tufnell.

The match takes place on Friday, August 26, at the Mote Cricket ground at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent.
