Lighting up time

BUILDINGS lit naturally through roof lights can improve the performance of studying students and even boost sales in retail outlets, according to research from the US. The study, by the California Board of Energy Efficiency, involved 108 stores with varying light conditions.

It showed that adding roof lights to a store could increase sales by 40 per cent.
