The book is a concise, straightforward account of all the law relating to the construction industry and is said to be ideal for students and those requiring an introduction to its practice. Geoenvironmental Engineering is a compilation of 70 papers from the Second Geoenvironmental Engineering Conference organised by the British Geotechnical Society and Cardiff University. It addresses a range of topics relating to ground contamination. The book is edited by R N Yong and published by Thomas Telford. It runs to 600 pages and costs £85.

The fourth edition of Mark Brink-ley's Housebuilder's Bible is published on November 22. The book comes out every two years and is regarded as an important publication in the self-build market. It is priced £18 direct from Rodelia Books or from bookshops.
