Livingston £42m civic centre planned

Contractors are invited to tender for a £42 million deal to build a civic centre in Livingston for West Lothian Council.
It will house the divisional police station for Lothian and Borders Police, the Scottish Courts Service including six court rooms, the Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service and the regional fire brigade.

Up to five firms will be invited to tender by June next year. Work is due to start in November 2006.
