Local firm to build Ludlow business centre

Independent Shropshire contractor SJ Roberts Construction has been contracted to build a new £1.5 million business centre in Ludlow.

The Enterprise Centre has been designed to provide sustainable workspaces for up to 21 businesses, with the potential to create almost 100 jobs.

It is also anticipated the centre will achieve a rating of “excellent” under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method.

SJ Roberts managing director, Michael Sambrook, said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as the construction partner for the business centre because, as a company we always favour projects that clearly benefit their communities, as we’re sure this will.”

Work begins on the centre this month. It is due to be completed in September.
