Systems Geotechnique is using its new, ultra-long reach soil nail system to tackle high bank stabilisation work on the £85 million Porth Relief Road project currently under construction by Costain in the Rhondda Valley. A total of 850 soil nails are being installed using a special rig based on the CAT 345C excavator with a 23.5m reach fitted.
