Lovell wins housing association repairs contract

Affordable housing builder Lovell has won a £50 million repairs contract from West Midlands housing association Accord Group.

Lovell, which is part of the Morgan Sindall Group, will carry out repairs for Accord’s homes in Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Sandwell.

The 10-year contract will start in June and will create 10 apprenticeships over its lifetime.

Morgan Sindall Group chief executive Paul Smith said “This is a significant contract win, and further underlines the ability of Lovell to deliver first class maintenance and repair services across a broad geographical area.”

Accord manages 11,000 affordable homes across the Midlands.
