The Highways Agency has formally awarded Costain a £138 million deal to widen the M25 in Kent and carry out improvements to the A2.

The M25 job, worth £66 million, involves widening work between Dartford and Swanley. The £72 million A2 work includes widening at Bean. Both jobs start early next year.
