Mace appoints Alan Willby head of sports projects

Alan Willby has left Davis Langdon and Aecom to become major sports director for Mace.

Mr Willby first worked with Mace on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Mace was delivery partner to the Olympic Delivery Authority as part of the CLM consortium.

He has experience of cost planning, procurement, cost management and value management through his work on international events and major sporting programmes.

Projects he has worked on include The New Anfield, Green Point Stadium, Cape Town for the FIFA 2010 World Cup and the City of Manchester Stadium for the Commonwealth Games 2002.

At Davis Langdon Mr Willby was global head of sports for programme cost consultancy.
