Mace to host charity cricket at the Oval featuring Mark Ramprakash

Mace Group’s utilities sector is to host the Mace Group Celebrity Cricket Challenge, in aid of WaterAid at the BritOval on Friday 24 July.

The event will see the UK water industry take on the infamous Bunburys – the world’s number one celebrity cricket team.

The Bunburys, founded by David English MBE, include personalities such as Rory Bremner, Eric Clapton and Ian Botham amongst many other famous cricketers and sporting celebrities.

Money raised from the event will support the work that WaterAid carries out in the developing world to enable some of the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.

Companies confirmed so far include Thames Water, Scottish Water and Veolia Water.

Each team will consist of six players who will play three games each throughout the day, with the winning team playing against a full Bunburys team for the trophy.
