Manchester Amec plans leisure partnership

AMEC Developments has unveiled plans for a £20 million leisure scheme in Manchester city centre in partnership with Booth Charities.

It is not known if Amec will carry out the construction work as the procurement process has yet to be finalised. Work is expected to start on site in spring, 1998.

Amec has submitted a detailed application for the 14,500 sq m site. Plans include a 228-bed hotel, bars and restaurants.
