Manchester council tenders housing PFI

Manchester City Council has published a tender notice in the Official Journal for the PFI housing regeneration of the Collyhurst area in Manchester.

The selected partner will design, refurbish, manage and maintain the authority's housing stock, as well as an associated new-build aspect for sale development.

The contract will include:

  • demolition of existing council homes

  • refurbishment, management and maintenance - 840 units of council housing

  • 1,700 new-build for sale homes

  • 62 new-build social rented homes - to be developed by the successful economic operator

Requests for participation must be in by 17 March 2008. Operators bidding for this contract are required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire.
