Mansell's on the up

November

MANSELL'S swoop on regional outfit Hall & Tawse at the end of November has boosted its challenge for a place in the top 20 of the annual contractors' table.

Taking over £200 million-worth of Hall & Tawse contracts has shot the firm from outside the annual top 40 into 16th position this month.

Mansell has also made an impact in the monthly table, notching up wins totalling £17 million to hoist the firm into 21st place.

After slipping to fourth spot last month, Bovis returns to pole position in the monthly table with contract wins worth £163 million.

These latest results strengthen Bovis' place at the top of the annual table, and it looks set to stay

there.

With only one month of 1997 remaining, the firm is £500 million clear of its nearest rival, Tarmac.
