Mark Thatcher heads for London after coup plot deal

Sir Mark Thatcher is due to arrive in London today after striking a plea bargain over his alleged role in a coup plot in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea.
Airline officials said the son of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was flying from Cape Town to London, but his ultimate destination is believed to be the United States where he is expected to be reunited with his family.

The deal with the South African authorities allows him to avoid jail.
