Market leader

Speedy Lifting has bought rival Lifting Gear Hire for £13.5 m illion, propelling it to number one in the market. The deal brings to Speedy the LGH hire, sales and inspection network, together with its training, engineering and Megalift machinery moving business, which will trade sideby-side as Speedy LGH.

LGH's Winches, Rigging and Suspended Access Divisions were not part of the transaction. Speedy Lifting managing director Claudio Veritiero said: 'The acquisition places Speedy in a unique position with regards to the service and end-users served.'
