Mast standard

The British Standards Institution has published a new standard for mastclimbers. BS 7981: 2002 Code of Practice for the Installation, Maintenance, Thorough Examination and Safe Use of Mastclimbing Work Platforms aims to reduce the amount of paperwork currently involved in specifying mastclimbers.

British Standards says it will also enable main contractors to specify the type of men and material access required at tender stage.
