May Gurney boosts rail arm with Laing boss

MAY Gurney has beefed up its rail arm by bringing in a new commercial manager from Laing O'Rourke.

The Norwich contractor has appointed Andrew Taylor as its rail services commercial manager. He will be responsible for looking after tenders, contracts and risk estimating.

Mr Taylor, who has spent much of his career working in the oil and mining industries in South Africa, will work out of May Gurney's offices in Hertfordshire when he takes up his new role next week.

Mr Taylor joined Laing O'Rourke in 2002 and was responsible for managing its framework deal with water company Anglian.
