May Gurney takes on recycling contract

Norwich-based civil engineering firm May Gurney has bought contracts to run 23 recycling centre in Gloucestershire and Norfolk from Environmental Waste Controls.

The acquisition, valued at £5 million a year, will involve a £3.2 million cash payment, as well as taking on £1.7 million debt.

May Gurney is already working on waste management projects including landfill engineering.
