McInerney looks for Yorkshire growth

IRISH house builder McInerney is expanding into Yorkshire and aims to sell 700 homes nationwide next year.

McInerney's UK managing director Pat Flynn said: 'We want to work organically into Yorkshire by the middle of next year.

Also Birmingham is a place I'd have no problem working.'

In the UK the firm operates in the northwest but private house sales fell to 141 units in the first half of 2004.Turnover was static at £17.4 million and operating profits up £100,000 to £1.6 million.McInerney expects to sell 550 homes this year.
