A mosque with space for 40,000 worshippers is being proposed for the Olympic site in Stratford, east London. Architect Mangera Yvars is working up the designs for developer Abbey Mills and a planning application will be lodged with Newham Borough Council next year. The complex will also have community facilities for a further 30,000 people.
