Merger aids crawler crane

PLANT

NRC Plant is unveiling the first fruits of the Hitachi and Sumitomo crane merger at SED with the launch of a 90 tonne crawler crane.

The SCX900-2 has a modular design allowing users to vary the hoist, engine, winch and control systems to suit the application.

The cab is fully sprung to reduce operator fatigue and the crane incorporates a clutchless winch system to sustain braking performance even in continuous heavy duty operation.

The maximum boom length is 60 m, while tail radius is 4.3 m, allowing work in confined areas.
