Merseyside Pair tune in to win £160m FM package

A BUILDING & Property/Unicorn alliance has landed a £160 million facilities management contract to repair and maintain about 30,000 council homes in Liverpool.

The consortium, known as the Liverpool Maintenance Partnership, has been chosen by the city council for the seven-yearcontract.

The package is a combination of two separate contracts for 11 housing areas around the city and is the first of its kind to be offered by the council in a wider campaign to improve efficiency.

A total of 685 staff from the council's direct labour organisation will transfer over to the consortium.
