Migrant dodge

Ucatt general secretary Alan Ritchie has called on the Government to clamp down on bogus self-employment among migrants after Home Office minister Tony McNulty said thousands of workers from eastern Europe were working as selfemployed building workers.

He said: 'Contractors, subcontractors and labour suppliers are encouraging migrants into selfemploy ment to save on National Insurance.'
