Miller back to school

MILLER is negotiating a £15 million contract to redevelop a secondary school in West Yorkshire.

The firm won a £6 million deal in February to redevelop a Science and Technology block at Horbury High School for Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council.

Now it is in final negotiations on the other two phases of work, which will see the rest of the school completely redeveloped in a £15 million project.

Phases 2 and 3 involve demolishing two remaining blocks and erecting mobile classrooms so the school can be open during the four years of the construction programme.

Work will finish by 2010.
