Miracle escape


A scaffolder escaped with a broken arm and leg after falling 20 m from the top of a church tower in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire last week.

John Jarvis, of Shrewsburybased WJ Scaffolding, was removing scaffold when he fell. Hereford-based IJ Preece is main contractor on site. The Health and Safety Executive is investigating.
