Monthly Review: May

Weather Review

THE HEAT IS ON: This was a mostly warm and changeable month, with lower than average rainfall. It was the sixth successive warm month.

The information, provided by the Met Office, is suitable for guidance, but it is not suitable for contractual or analysis purposes as it is provisional and some data are averaged over a large geographical area. The regional and national data shown above provide a comparison of actual conditions for the month under review with the long-term monthly averages. Seven regions have been selected by the Met Office and key data provided for one representative site in each region. Rainfall and sunshine figures are given as a percentage of the long-term averages for the month. Data are provided on how the monthly means of daily maximum and minimum temperatures varied in deg C from the long-term maximum and minimum averages. Overall, the information gives an indication of weather conditions which may have affected work on your site.
