More community hospitals for region

Health minister Ben Bradeshaw has announced that three more community hospitals will be built in the South-east.

The schemes will all be situated in the south east with a total capital value of £76.3 million, of which £23.5 million will be from the community hospitals and services fund.

The projects are:

  • - Finchley Community Hospital (receives £9.9 m towards a £48.7 million scheme)

  • - Eltham & Mottingham Community Hospital (receives £4.6 million towards a £14.6 million scheme)

  • - King's Avenue (Ashford) Community Hospital (receives £9 million towards a £13 million scheme)
