Morgan Ashurst wins £25m college contract

Morgan Ashurst has beaten three other firms to a £25 million contract for a college redevelopment in Berkshire.

The firm, which was renamed earlier this year after parent Morgan Sindall bought the Amec construction business, has secured the Bracknell and Wokingham College project, beating Leadbitter, William Verry and Norwest Holst.

It will build an eight-storey building including seminar rooms, sports hall and staff rooms plus a three-storey classroom and workshop building.

The existing college will be torn down and redevelopment completed in December 2009.
