Morgan Ashurst wins £5.3m Merseyside job

Morgan Ashurst has won a £5.3 million contract from property developer Langtree to design and build a three-storey enterprise park in St Helens, Merseyside.

The St Helens Chamber of Commerce will have its headquarters in the building as well as training facilities, offices and shared business facilities for local start-ups.

Hard landscaping the surrounding area, including the creation of a tree-lined boulevard and a new bridge across the St Helens canal, which runs parallel to the new building will also come under the deal. Morgan Ashurst will also provide 105 parking spaces, including five disabled parking bays.

A ground-heat recovery system will be installed to help reduce the amount of energy used to run the facility.

The new enterprise park is due to be completed in December 2008.
