Morgan Sindall bags place on £1.2bn Gatwick framework

Morgan Sindall has been appointed on the £1.2bn framework programme of upgrades and improvement for Gatwick Airport.

The company is one of nine contractors which will compete for jobs through the four year framework.

Works covered include major projects such as upgrading terminal facilities, new aircraft piers and modernising baggage systems.

New retail, security and immigration areas are also included.

Morgan Sindall is already on site at Gatwick delivering the £50m North Terminal extension.

Chief executive Paul Smith said:  “We are delighted to extend our relationship with Gatwick and secure a position on its latest framework. Having highlighted the airport sector as one which offers growth potential for our Group, it is pleasing to capitalise on opportunities such as this which help develop our position in the sector.”
