Morgan Sindall lands £14m Nottingham cable deal

Morgan Sindall has been awarded a contract worth around £14 million to design, supply, install and commission 13 kilometres of 132kV double circuit cable through Nottingham.

Western Power Distribution is the client for the project under which Morgan Sindall Professional Services has been appointed to carry out the electrical and civils design.

Morgan Sindall utility service managing director Jeff Lang said: “We are looking forward to commencing this project which is a key part of Western Power Distribution’s capital renewal programme. Our specialist extra high voltage teams and equipment ensures that we are best placed to undertake the complex nature of this work.”

The work will start on site in March 2012 and is due for completion in December 2013. The project is part of the three-year fluid filled cable replacement programme framework to which Morgan Sindall was appointed in October 2010.
