Morgan Sindall to build £350m Swindon scheme

Morgan Sindall’s urban regeneration arm Muse Developments has won a £350 million contract to build a mixed-use development in Swindon.

The 160,000 sq m Union Square complex will contain office space and homes, 25 per cent of which will be affordable. It will also include new shops, restaurants, cafes and a new hotel.

Muse Developments has been selected to deliver the scheme by a public consortium made up of English Partnerships, South West of England Regional Development Agency and Swindon Borough Council.

Work is expected to start in 2010 and expected to take 10 years to complete.
