Morris & Spottiswood wins £1m repairs contract

Morris & Spottiswood has won a £1m contract to provide responsive repairs maintenance for 850 Margaret Blackwood Housing Association homes.

The contract is to provide joinery, plumbing, roofing, electrical and general building services to MBHA homes throughout the West, Central & Argyll and Highland regions over the next two years.

Morris & Spottiswood was appointed following tenant feedback relating to the Association’s existing reactive repairs provision.

MBHA operations director, Chris Thomson said: “In recent years, we have found the challenge of providing a consistent service across all 29 local authority areas in mainland Scotland difficult. Splitting the country geographically, in each area we have partnered with a single contractor who can provide a responsive multi-trade service to our tenants twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.”
