Morrison finds time for children's garden

PEOPLE

STAFF at Morrison's offices in Wakefield and Halifax have built a sensory garden at the Orchard View children's centre near Huddersfield.

The work was carried out under the company's 'Give me Five' scheme, in which employees take up to 30 hours paid work off per year for community-related activities, provided they agree to match it with equal t ime of their own.

Morrison's suppliers and subcontractors joined in the generosity. Burdens of New Farnley supplied building materials at a discounted rate, while machinery was provided free of charge by Gap Plant of Beeston and Hather Plant Hire of Rotherham.
