Mouchel wins new contracts

Mouchel said all its main business areas are doing well in a trading update made to the London Stock Exhcange today.

The Surrey-based consultancy said it had won a series of highways contracts and is preferred bidder on the Highways Agency’s Super Agency commission in the South of England. It expects to win more work in the next tranche of bids. And it has also won extensions to current roads contracts in Stirling and Hertfordshire.

Mouchel said its Building Schools for the Future contract in Hackney should reach financial close in the spring and is preferred bidder on a contract to provide property services in the northern area of the Metropolitan Police Authority.

It has also won contracts for payroll and business services with several local councils.

The company said its order book and pipeline remained strong in the Middle East, with both remaining above the £2 billion mark.

Mouchel said the integration of HBS, the consultancy it bought in August last year, is going to plan.

It is predicting results in line with expectations for the year ending July. It will release interim results on 31 March for the half-year ending December 2007.
