MTS in for £2.2m of Bobcat machinery

PLANT

WAKEFIELD compact equipment dealer and hirer MTS Bobcat has upped its hire fleet with the purchase of £2.2 million worth of machines from Bobcat.

The package includes the UK's first Toolcat, Bobcat's light utility vehicle, which combines a van's carrying capacity with a loader arm capable of taking the manufacturer's range of compact attachments.

MTS is also intent on expanding the British market for skid-steers and claims to have 100 machines on hire every day.

Peter Watson, MTS managing director, said: 'The performance of our hire fleet shows there is still growth to be had in the skid steer market. The utilisation is excellent and, as Bobcat adds more attachments, the applications will grow.'
