National Investment Corporation to issue Fairmont hotel tender

The National Investment Corporation is preparing to issue tender documents for the main construction package for the Fairmont hotel and serviced apartments development in Abu Dhabi.

The project covers an area of 155,000 square metres.

The building works involve a basement floor, a 40-floor hotel tower, a 35-floor serviced apartments tower, and associated facilities and landscaping.

The total-built-up area is 198,000 sq m.

The hotel will have about 750 rooms and the apartments tower will have 200 units.

Completion is expected by the end of 2010.

The UK's EC Harris is the project manager.

The local Dewan Architects & Engineers is the consultant
