Neighbour's site blockade

A FURIOUS resident is blocking access to a £50 million housing scheme in Edinburgh after getting fed up with construction traffic.

Ian Jackson of North Meggetland parked his car across the site entrance last week. Glasgow firm Malcolm Construction is carrying out the work for Applecross.

Mr Jackson told Construction News: 'They told us they would use our land for access for five weeks. It has been eight months now. It is a nightmare.' Applecross declined to comment on the incident.
