New academy work up for grabs

Bidders are invited to tender for a new academy housing 1,100 pupils in the West Midlands.

The Sandwell academy in Tipton will be built on the site of the existing Willingsworth High School.

The value is the contract is expected to be £18 million, with work set to start in September 2008.

The deadline is December 14.
